Everyone has times in his or her life they just cannot stop thinking about something that has happened and/or something they are afraid is going to happen. As long as we have air entering our earthly lungs we will have a need to use the four simple steps below. Don’t worry so much about the fact that these thoughts come up from time to time, simply and as quickly as possible, turn your focus to the four points below as soon as you realize your toes are tip toeing in the undesirable fields of worry and anxiety.

1. Peace comes from Trusting God!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; ….” Proverbs 3:5

How much trust do you have in the chair you are sitting in? I don’t know if you are anything like me but I notice I can put more trust in the daily things I use then I do in the promises of Holy Scriptures. With a stamp of your foot kind of knowing – know that you know – that you know – that you KNOW –that you can TRUST your Heavenly Father and all His ways. He can take something that seems miserable, hard or impossible and make it into something great.

2. A new level of Peace comes from letting go of needing to know everything!

Trust the Lord with all your Heart; and lean not on to your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

Soak up a wonderful feeling of heavenly confidence as you read the above scripture. By letting go of the belief you must figure everything out, you will enjoy an awesome freedom to simply relax and live in the moment of the day. God placed this in His word because we need to be reminded from time to time to simply Trust Him and release ourselves from having to know and figure everything out – right now. Relax knowing you can simply trust Him to show you the answers and way to whatever may be bothering you!

3. Seeking His Will gives us a wonderful feeling of calm!

Trust the Lord with all your heart; lean not onto your own understanding, Seek his will in ALL you do….” Proverbs 3:5 and 6

After we have realized that we do not have to know everything – it is nice to know where He is asking us to trust seeking “R” all (everything)….. it’s in HIM. You can simply pray for His guidance and trust in His word, knowing He will show you what you need to know- when you need to know it – period- end of story. In saying this I have to admit it is much easier to do this when you are reading His word on a regular basis. Not that reading the bible needs to be added to your daily chore list, but it really does bring blessings to your life. Since I have tried to read the bible on much more of a regular bases, I have to say, seeking His Will seems much easier. I believe it’s the result of being in His word. Seek with a personal confidence you will find it (All mean everything you need to) in His perfect timing!! Pray, ask and receive!

4. A Heavenly peace comes when you believe by faith the promises!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

I love the end of these verses. It does not say He may help you out if He wants to, has time or when you’re perfect. It says HE WILL make your paths straight!!! So confidently take each step resting in His perfect Will and promise! AMEN!
Live and enjoy a Heavenly peace and live Confident by His Word!

Hi everyone!

The snow in our area made me stop and think about how little attention I have been giving my husband lately.

We have both been busy and forgetting to give attention to our most valuable thing, our marriage. So try this: Do a little dance around the TV tonight, blow him a kiss, draw her a heart on the toilet paper or hide him a note in his shower towel. Have fun, I’d love to hear what you do. Happy liven and loven! God Bless, Kim

As we near Christmas there are a few things to keep in mind so the peace of the season will be experienced by all. As we stress and flail to meet all the busyness we have placed on our schedule, take a few minutes to re-evaluate your state of affairs. Self evaluation is where the bliss can be saved.

Ponder this:

1. We can’t change others, that is God’s job. We can only change the attitude about other’s behaviors and pray that God will change them.

2. Your tongue can be like a hot pepper, it has the ability to get someone fired up on the spot. When nerves are high take the time to think, think and think - then speak.

3. Realize we all have good and bad days. We all share our bad days with someone. We don’t want others happier to see us walk out of a room rather then in it. Be blissful sunshine not grumpy clouds this holiday season.

Christmas blessings to all. Happy living and Loving, Kim Reutzel

When spending time in the sun we are recommended to put on sunscreen to prevent pre-maturing of the skin and skin cancer. Prevention is a largely-used word in our society. We are to prevent heart disease by eating and exercising properly. We prevent catastrophic loss by purchasing insurance. Yet what are we doing to keep ourselves out of the almost 50% divorce rate that effects our families and ourselves? Romance! Love, it seems, is not magically fed on it’s own and will need a good dose of planned romance on a regular basis.

So, write a little love note, whisper “I love you,” tickle some tootsies or place a paper with some XOXO’s on their pillow—all are simple yet sure to prevent love boredom.

Think Prevention-Give your partner a regular dose of romance TODAY!

Be creative. Let me know how it works; I’ll share a couple of your responses in my next post!

Blessed Spring!

I highly recommend all of you to watch the movie Fireproof. It scored
me some flowers Monday morning.

Sunday night, my husband and I decided we were going to have a movie date

night. Let me tell you, it was a great experience and worth every provoking

thought it created. This movie truly lets you see many of the flaws we all

experience in our marriage.

Well, it must have had some kind of impact on my husband because
Monday morning, when I came to work, I had a small bouquet of flowers

sitting on my desk. Now do I think I deserved it? Heck no–I had
also just watched the movie and discovered the flaws I contribute to our
marriage. When asking Del why he gave me the flowers, he said, “Because I
know I’m not always easy to live with.” I thought to myself, “DIDDO, me

neither!”

Him giving me flowers made me want to make sure I showed him love and
appreciation. I tried to say and do special things throughout the day
to make sure he knew how great I thought he was, mistakes and all.

Now that’s a movie that can changes relationships!

A New Years resolution, or a priority list for 2009??

A resolution is a firmness of purpose or intention.

A priority is something coming before in time order or importance- your highest importance.

Once again it’s time for our New years resolutions.

Take a look at this list a little differently this year.
How about calling it your priority list for 2009.

I feel by making it a priority it means I will place it before other important things.

To improve something we need to know what we want to improve or simply decide what’s important to us.

Don’t forget to put yourself on your priority list!

Example-Here’s mine — Now make yours — what’s important to you?
Kim’s Priority list 2009
Me: Drink more water, eat better, exercise 3 times a week and have quite time alone.
Del: (my husband) Tell him I love him more! Be more interested in
what is important to him.
Work: Start earlier each morning. Make a list each day and stay on track.
Spiritually: Remember to include prayer into every decision.
And so on…..

What is important to you this year? Share it with the people you
love. My husband loved to hear I wanted to say I loved him more.
When you share with them that they are on your priority list, they
feel special! We all want to feel special!!

Guess what? ”I love you,” has turned into a purpose to flirt. Try it, it’s funny how a simple thing can be relationship changing!

The next time you notice a negative thought send yourself to your 40 days of wanting what you have list. You will notice a change of mood quickly.

The other day in church I noticed scripture that spoke right to my heart, You whom I have blessed. It felt as if God was pointing right at me and I believe I finally accepted his blessing deep down in my soul. When it touched my very soul I sat up straight, I had a little smile and I’m sure my eyes twinkled as I thought about being blessed by our God of the universe. I thought to myself , “Do I live blessed? What in my life shows and represents that blessing? Do I carry myself in a way that shows that blessing? Do I share the blessing with others?”

I walk around today with a new pride in being blessed. Anytime something tries to steal that special gift I received from those verses, I simply repeat them again and stand up tall as I give a wink and a smile up to the heavens.

Join me standing tall in our blessings by doing the same!

Hi everyone,

What a busy day with work and chores. It is hard to keep the romance alive in this busy paced world. It seems we are both tired, he falls asleep on the couch and I go to bed early. The next day we wake up at different times and start another busy day of hardly noticing each other.

We all know the saying, tying the knot or should I say, getting married. If you think when you tie the knot you will never have to do anything else for your marriage, you are only kidding yourself. The day to day chores and worries loosen this knot which requires a tug to tighten it from time to time.

I am so excited to tell you about my book, Kissing and Cooking for Couples, a recipe to add spice and romance to your relationship. It teaches the skills to divorce-proof your marriage while keeping your spouse hungry for more in a tickle-your-senses kind of way. This faith based book is sure to spark some romance into your spouse and give a much needed occasional tug to your marital knot.

If you would like a pre-released book, you can get a copy from my publisher at, www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore/book.php?w=978-1-60696-552-8, My book will be available in stores on December 30, 2008.

Happy living and loving to you all. Blessing, prosperity and peace, Kim Reutzel
